Caring For Your ONYXDESIGNER Pieces

ONYXDESIGNER jewels will be naturally beautiful for years to come. However, for long-lasting pieces, you need to know how to care for your jewellery, and we’re here to help!

Charm Bracelets

Soap, water and a toothbrush are the only equipment you need to keep your charm bracelets clean. If there is stubborn dirt on the bracelet, you can soak it in clean water.

Gold Bangles

The softness of gold can easily be gauged by its carats. The higher the carat, the softer the metal. It’s recommended that you wear adjacent jewellery (multiple bracelets, rings, etc.) of a similar carat together.

Gold can be cleaned with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid chlorinated water or bleach when wearing gold as it can easily be damaged.

Macramé Jewellery

Our macramé products are treated with wax, making them excellent pieces for wearing every day. The wax makes the threads resistant to wear and tear, but food stains can be difficult to clean.

You can use soft toothbrushes as well as soap and water to clean your bracelets as well as a soft, lint-free cloth. Lay them out to dry before storage.

Onyx

Onyx can easily be cleaned with mild soap and warm water.

Sterling Silver Bangles

Silver can also be cleaned with warm, soapy water, but be careful to rinse it thoroughly and allow it to dry before storing it in a safe place. You can easily polish silver using a soft, lint-free cloth. Silver, like gold, does not do well when exposed to chlorine. Avoid using bleach or swimming in pools or hot tubs when wearing silver jewellery.
